Twilightopia the first of our new Crowd Blog sites launches with a bang

When we launched our flagship site Boxwish Movies and TV a couple of years ago we had no idea it would inspire us to build a range of other similar sites. In the first few months of the site going live it became immediately obvious that the most popular movie we ever talked about was Twilight, and more importantly that fans of the Twilight Saga were looking for an outlet. Step in Twilightopia.

We first launched the site at the end of last summer and it was basically a rebranded version of Boxwish Movies and TV. It immediately hit a chord with fans, generated a few hundred thousand hits in its first six months and had people going crazy about the quiz. But we knew it needed spicing up and in particular needed a more immersive and simple way for users to post their own content. So we set about building version two of the site, which has now become the first in our series of ‘Crowd Blogs’ (more on that in a later post).

The new site, which went live a couple of weeks ago has had some amazing feedback from the community (check out some of the feedback quotes below) and has had well over 700 posts added by fans already!

“I love the site absolutely too much. It’s the best fan site I’ve visited so far. I think it’s cool that people are given the chance to give their opinions. Love it! Keep up the good work…”
“What I love about this site is that you get points and there is a leaderboard which you can be at the top of. I don’t think there is anything I don’t like about this site, thank you for creating it.”
“Love it!!!”
“I think the site is great!”
“Great site and a fantastic way to mix with all the twifans out there.”

Awesome! Check out Twilightopia for yourself and let us know what you think.
